The Kursaal theatre is a cultural facility built in 1927 by the entrepreneur Andreu Cabot. It is located at the first tram of the passeig Pere III. L'edificio actual va ser projectat per l'arquitecte Josep Firmat i Serramalera, seguint un sobri estil noucentista, amb algunos elementos historicistes. The façade is composed of molt clàssica, tot i which in highlights l'immens pati davanter, on s'hi can observe multiple columnes jòniques i una terrassa amb balustrada.
The Kursaal will operate as a cinema hall during the first few days of its existence. A gradual process of structural degradation will end up determining its initial level in 1988. In the 1990s, the cultural association "El Galliner" of Manresa was to launch a campaign for the recovery of space and support the administration of the city. Després d'un llarg procés de rehabilitació, l'any 2007 es va inaugurar de nou, aquesta vegada com a teatre, donant embranzida al l'activitat cultural de Manresa i a la seva projecció com punt clau dins del món del teatre català.
