As we said, Carrer del Born was home to some of the city’s most important shops. One of them is the Sastrería Tuneu.
The Sastrería Tuneu started its business in Sobrerroca Street but, in 1906, it moved to the new commercial area and established itself in Born Street. Today, the building’s decoration made of wrought iron and coloured glass designed by Francesc Cuixart to attract the attention of pedestrians is still preserved. Nowadays, this former tailor's shop is run by the Señor store.
Modernism also saw the emergence of the fashion for shop windows: shops decided to display their products in large windows, something that had never been done before.
