The Santa Caterina Tower is an old fortification that crowns the hill of the same name, within the municipality of Manresa.
Cylindrical in base, it was built in 1836 during the first war between Carlists and Liberals that took place throughout the 19th century. Its construction coincided with the expansion of the Puigterrà Castle, which unfortunately no longer exists. The tower’s geographical position, with the Cardener Valley and Manresa at its feet, allows visitors who approach it to enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the city.
In March 2024, restoration and improvement works were carried out, including the addition of a viewpoint that provides an even more privileged view of the city.
