Sons del Camí

Manresa

Sons del Camí (Sounds of the Way) is a summer concert series that aims to bring music and all its energy closer to the public.

For over ten editions, the concert series has welcomed artists of local, national, and international renown to the city, such as Noa, the Orfeón Donostiarra, Joan Dausà, Marina Rossell, Stay Homas, and Albert Pla, among many others. We invite you to explore the programmes of previous editions.

Different significant spaces throughout the city have served as stages for the Sons del Camí concerts. Each edition seeks out heritage sites that best match the musical proposals, striving to connect music with locations marked by Ignatian heritage. Among these are the Basilica and Park of La Seu, the Sanctuary and Gardens of the Cave of Saint Ignatius, and the Cloister of the Museum of Baroque Art of Catalonia, among others.

Sons del Camí was born within the framework of Manresa 2022, a citywide project created to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Ignatius of Loyola’s stay in Manresa — a period of profound transformation that shaped him into a universal figure — and to establish Manresa as a city of international significance.

The Manresa 2022 project aimed to transform the city in the same spirit as the Basque pilgrim’s own experience, encouraging citizens to take part in this collective and personal transformation. One of Ignatius’s enduring legacies is what we now know as the Ignatian Way.
