The Sobrerroca Tower is a two-story defensive structure with a square base, built between the 13th and 14th centuries. This tower, together with a twin tower that once stood on the opposite side of the street, formed part of one of the eight gates of the Manresa city walls.
These gates served a dual purpose: they allowed the entry and exit of people, animals, and goods, while also functioning as toll and control points for those passing through.
The tower has been recently restored, and it is now open to visitors during local festivals and celebrations, or as part of the guided tours organized by the Manresa Tourist Office.
