The Remei Chapel is a Baroque-style temple located directly in front of the Fabrica Nova building, on Remei de Dalt Street. It is a small, single-nave, rectangular church. Its façade is notable for the flat-arch portal topped by a small niche containing an image of the Virgin of Remei. The façade is crowned by an imposing bell gable.
It was founded by the Manresan Gaspar Picalqués. Its construction took place during the first quarter of the 17th century. Although in 1627 it was transferred to the Trinitarian friars by the family’s donation, opposition from other religious communities in Manresa led to the order’s expulsion from the city in 1632. Five years later, the chapel came under the parish jurisdiction of La Seu. It was renovated in 1861. Like many other churches and chapels in the city, it was completely destroyed in the summer of 1936, at the beginning of the Civil War. Between 1985 and 1986, the chapel underwent its most recent restoration, resulting in its current appearance.
